March and April Snowflakes

Since I didn't get around to posting the March snowflake and my April has arrived I'm showing both of them. I have no clue as to how Crystal does these but I am so enjoying receiving them. I'd love to watch someone tat and see how these lovelies are created.

This is actually a good post to end the week because for the last two days we have had so much snow and rain. It's been great because this has been the driest winter on record and we so needed the moisture. If this had all been snow it would have taken us until June to dig out. There were big beautiful white snowflakes and rain Friday and yesterday it rained all day. What a slushy mess it was for awhile. Today the sun is shining and the sky is blue.
I hope you have all had a wonderful week. I'm getting a fun post together for later in the week all about my shoes!!

I love the art of tatting. My neighbor does it and I love watching her do it. She tried to show me how but I am not very patient with hand work. Your snowflakes are very pretty.

Beautiful snowflakes. I'm glad you had sun today, though! :-) It was cloudy here, and stormy north of us.

Hi Judy, I so respect people who tat! It drives me crazy to crochet with thread, I couldn't even imagine what it would be like to tat!

I knew a little old lady who tatted years ago when I was young. She's gone now, and I wish I'd had her teach me the basics of tatting. It's such a lovely art!

Hi Judy,

Hubby just missed the snow there. Timing is everything-hehe.

I love your tatted snowflakes. Visit TattingChic's blog. She has a lot of info on tatting and it is always a fun read.

Hello Judy~I gave tatting a try...once. My friend and I sat for hours after producing our first circle (the size of a pin head) we realized to our dismay It was going to take a handful to make a snowflake. I don't think my retinas would have survived. I truly appreciate those who have mastered it to the point of actually enjoying it. I purchased a lot of tatted hankies. I used them in my Parisian post. I've always wondered (when I look at them) about the hands that created each one of those tiny stitches and how I wished she knew that they were in safekeeping with someone who treasures them.
Did I miss your shoe post? ;D

Sweet wishes,
Sara
