Flea Market Finds

Do you know what this is? It is an English tea strainer!!! And I love it. I bought it yesterday at the Paris Market I go to once a month. I think it is adorable. I also found a couple of aprons that were a steal so I couldn't pass those us.

This is my favorite. I love the blue and white. I also found this fall looking tablecloth and couldn't resist. Plus the price was right too!! The lady I buy my linens from only comes to a few of the markets so you have to buy when she does. Everything is freshly laundered and ironed. I can't imagine ironing those stacks and stacks of linens. I ironed it this morning and put it on my table. It looks so pretty.

That's all for this month. I told you I was being good!!! Today I am making a big pot of red beans and rice for dinner. All I have to do later is make cornbread and dinner will be ready. With these cool days it's fun to make comfort food. Last night we had meatloaf and au gratin potatoes. I'll have to post the recipe for the potatoes later in the week. They are so easy and delich!!! I also made some oatmeal cookies and I need to go clean up my mess. Martha would not like seeing my kitchen!!
Have a great Sunday!!

Beautiful finds ~ I love the aprons, too! And the tablecloth!

Thank you for your comment on my blog. Grandbaby is gone already - just a quick visit. I edited my entry to show that they're gone.

Judy, I was looking up close and personal on your gingham apron. I know how to do "chicken scratch" on gingham. It is almost like the stitch on your apron. I should take a pitcher of mine and post it so you can see.

One time I was in to making bunnies and I made dresses for them and did the "chicken scratch" on the edge of the skirts. Now that really took me back to about twenty years ago.

Your aprons and other finds are so nice. You really came home with the loot!

Blessings,
Cheryl

I love the tablecloth Judy! I just love table linens. I bought a beautiful tablecloth the last time I went to South Africa, unfortunately my DH put it in the tumbledryer and shrunk it! Bless him, he was only trying to help :). Such sweet aprons!

Great finds Judy!!! I love, love, love your aprons! I talked to my mom on the phone yesterday and she said she picked up a couple of aprons at an estate sale for me to "give away on my blog if I want to", I can't wait to see my parents this weekend!
