My Cake Dome

Anna and Brigette have this thing going about Patisserie Domes so I thought I would show off mine. Poor Anna broke hers so now they are both looking for one. If you haven't visited their blogs yet, they are so funny and I'm sure you would enjoy them. Brigette made some fabulous looking strudel and she offered to share her recipe with me. I can hardly wait to make some.
I like my dome because it has other uses other than a patisserie cover.
Turn it upside down and it can be used for a crudite and dip tray. Just put the dip in the middle and it looks pretty fancy with all the veggies surrounding it.
And if you put the top on upside down, it becomes a punch bowl. I've never used it this way but it would be fun to entertain and put sangria in it.
And my leftover brownies look so pretty.
Have a lovely evening. Hope things are cooling off for everyone. We are enjoying the 80 degree weather this week. I think the hottest weather is behind us now. I hope all my Florida friends are keeping safe and dry.
I received a lovely package today and will be posting about it tomorrow!!

I had one of those years ago! I need to get me another soon. I think a kitchen looks so yummy with a homemade cake just waiting in one of those... Makes me want cake now... first candy corn now cake... Crazy!

Very nice cake dome Ms. Brocante! Brigette and I have been discussing getting this kind and etching it ourselves -- 'cause we want the etching on it. If we're brave enough. You go first! ;-)

Wow! I learned 2 big words today: "patisserie" and "crudite" and I just love the sound of them!

I love coming here for all your yummy cooking and baking. I haven't tried any as of yet but one of these days.

You have found so many uses for your patisserie dome! I like the idea of a dip in the middle and crudites around the edge.

This is the first time I have been to your blog and popped over from Melissa's. I just had to comment and thank you for the giggles. I love your varied ideas of what to do with a cake stand. They are actually very clever. I must admit that I have a large collection of cloches that I use on plates or cake plates of my two cake stands. Often times, there is no baked goods in sight under them but a still life of something seasonal.

Hugs ~

Hello! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I certainly would enjoy doing laundry more too if I had a laundry room like the ones on my blog! :)
What a great cake dome, I've never seen one like that before!

I have a cake cover like that and use it all the time. Your pot roast looks soooo good. Can't wait for the cooler weather to make one. It's Bobby G.'s fave. ~

Great covered cake plate! I have one in my kitchen with a pumpkin from the Dollar Tree sitting inside it right now.

Thanks so much for the well wishes! I am doing better today! Still taking it easy though!

Hello Judy, How unique! I loved using my dome before it broke a long time ago. You've reminded me that it's time to go out and get a new one. Your brownies look delicious.
Enjoy this beautiful late summer day,
