I hope you are ready for some more sightseeing. I've been saving these for awhile. We started in Denver of course and drove through Golden up to Black Hawk over to Nederlands and finished our trip in Estes Park with a wonderful finale for you too look forward to.
Can you see that little black dot in the white cloud to the left? That was a hang glider. He was so far away but they were fun watching.
These were taken as we drove by Black Hawk. It is a gambling town with lots and lots of casinos. Central City is a little further up the the mountain. Central City was the first to become a gambling town and Black Hawk joined in very soon after. There is a famous Opera House in Central City. There is the face on the barroom floor and many tourists come to see her. If you click on Central City and then at the link at the bottom of that page for more information you will be able to see the face. I liked the town better before all the casinos moved in. 
As you can see it was trying to rain and we did have a few sprinkles. It was pretty cool up there too. I'm glad I had my sweatshirt.
The mountain peak you can see in the background is Longs Peak. You'll see more of it later in the drive as we get closer.

What pretty pictures. I love going when someone else is doing the driving so I have time to look around. I tend to do that anyway and my husband always reminds me to "look at the road" ;)
The pines and the sky, so lovely. So wish we had some of those skies here, it's in the 90s here today and supposed to be hot this weekend. I want to bake!
I had to laugh at what you said about the Casino town - we have winery towns here (ours is one of them), you'd think it was France or something ;)
